Ranklight Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
Ranklight tracks where apps rank on the public App Store charts. It has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
What Ranklight stores
- A random device key. Created the first time you open Ranklight. It is not linked to your identity and is shown in Settings as your sync key.
- The apps you track. Their public App Store IDs, linked to your device key.
- A notification token, only if you turn on notifications, so ranking alerts can be delivered to your device.
- Purchase information, only if you buy Ranklight Pro: the product, its expiry date and the transaction ID that Apple signs, so Pro can be confirmed. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple and are never seen by Ranklight.
Ranking data is collected from Apple's public App Store charts and is not personal data.
What Ranklight does not do
No advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data.
Where data is processed
Ranklight's server runs on Cloudflare and uses a Netlify function to read Apple's charts and send notifications through Apple's Push Notification service. These providers process requests only to run the service.
Deleting your data
Stop tracking an app to remove it from your list, and turn off notifications in Settings to remove your notification token. To delete everything linked to your device key, email the key from Settings to the address below.
